JUMPIN' FOR JOY

Our front lawn will be full of fun, free food and musical entertainment, a Bouncy House, games, prizes and YOU on Saturday, May 22!

Rain or shine, the event starts at 2 p.m. and features talented musicians singing and playing from Our Front Porch. Games, activities, and chances to win prizes are planned for kids and adults. A bouncy house in which to literally JUMP FOR JOY will be found on the corner of our property near Howard and Maple streets in Des Plaines. It's been a LONG, COLD WINTER and we haven't seen some of you in many months. Here's an opportunity to connect with neighbors and make new friends. With Jesus as our example of giving freely and welcoming all, this outreach is for you!!!

Hotdogs, lemonade, popcorn, bottled water will be offered FREE!!! We have hiredTouch of Elegance's party planner Denise Murphy (847.342.1599 or 847.877.4470) to help us organize and offer this GIFT to our community.

Also, it happens to be the weekend of the City of Des Plaines' garage sales ....permit free ...for the 60018 area. Walk up and down the neighborhood streets looking for "treasures" for sale. DEFINITLY stop at First Presbyterian's lawn and find the golden rule in action: Do unto others as I have done unto you. Now THAT'S a treasure!

The event will go on until 5 p.m. on Saturday afternoon. Get there early to get in on the free food; stay around for the various musical performances and to greet each other with a joyful smile. We are so blessed and just want to pass it on...that's how it is with God's love once you've experienced it!
